This is a read-only education site. There is no account system and no login, and the site never acts on any platform for you. Reading an article or using a calculator does not require giving us any personal details.
What we never collect
- Login passwords, or SMS and app verification codes
- Private keys, or seed phrases (recovery words)
- ID cards, passports, or KYC files
- Account details for other platforms
This site has no login box and no form that asks for any of the above. A page that claims to be this site and asks for them is not this site.
What Google Analytics records
Since September 2026 the site has used Google Analytics to see which articles people read, where readers come from and which pages need work. Google Analytics is run by Google and records:
- which pages were opened, how long they stayed open and which links were clicked
- the website or search engine a visit came from
- approximate country or city, device type, operating system and browser
To tell new visitors from returning ones, Google Analytics sets cookies beginning with _ga in your browser. According to Google, Google Analytics does not log or store IP addresses. What we see are aggregated reports; we cannot tell who any individual visitor is.
Amounts, rates and years typed into the calculators are worked out in your browser and are not sent to Google Analytics or to us.
Visitors in the EEA, the UK and Turkey
For visitors from the European Economic Area, the UK and Turkey, pages start with analytics and advertising storage switched off, so no Google Analytics cookies are set. Rules there require consent before analytics cookies are set, and the site shows no consent banner, so that default stays in place.
With this setting the analytics code still sends Google cookieless visit signals, which Google uses to estimate total traffic. They cannot be used to recognise a returning visitor.
Visitors everywhere else are counted as described above from the first page they open, with no pop-up asking first. If you would rather not be counted, use one of the ways in “How to switch analytics off” below.
Cloudflare page-view statistics
Cloudflare provides the site's network service, and its page-view statistics are also running. They record page views, referrers and visitor countries, and do not use cookies.
Fonts and browser storage
Pages load fonts from Google Fonts and jsDelivr. These services may record basic request information when delivering their files, under their own privacy policies.
The pre-registration checklist saves your ticked items in the browser you are using, so you can pick up where you left off. They are not account details, are not uploaded and do not sync to your other devices.
The site runs no advertising and does not sell visit data to anyone.
How to switch analytics off
Blocking cookies or clearing this site's data in your browser stops Google Analytics recognising you as a returning visitor; it also resets your checklist progress. To stop Google Analytics recording your visits altogether, install Google's Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on; many ad blockers also block the analytics code. Cloudflare's page-view statistics do not rely on cookies, so clearing local data does not stop them.

The regions where no analytics cookies are set by default are now the EEA, the UK and Turkey; visitors in Switzerland are now counted by default and can opt out as described above.
